S&T Slovenija is the leading provider of high-performance IT solutions and system integration in its region. The company is setting future standard by offering a wide range of solutions, technologies and products for information support in military operations. Our product focus includes C, C2 and C4 capabilities, messaging, onsite support, security and standard IT. The company employs over 280 people in Slovenia. Our defence competence centre is established in Slovenia and is responsible for 21 other S&T countries.
In 2007, S&T Slovenija formally founded Defence Programme Department aimed at developing solutions for the defence industry, specifically for information support in various activities of the Slovenian Armed Forces and in 2008 Defence Competence Center with the same values and competencies.
Defence Programme Department team combines highly trained staff, with exceptionally high level of technical and domain knowledge with over 30 years of combined experience. The team offers support and trainings in infrastructure related trainings, command and control related trainings and specialised »Bootcamp« high intensity courses.
S&T Defence products, services and people are proven on the job in peace keeping missions in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Kosovo.
Defence IT solutions and systems integration
S&T provides cost-effective products, and adds-on for different types of C capabilities. S&T products can be easily integrated with other C2 /C4 systems. All S&T products are designed around open system architecture, featuring standardised functionalities that are easy to supplement with other standards, compliant software and specialist equipment from other suppliers. S&T Slovenija has developed a peripheral device server (PDS) for weapon and sensor integration. It can easily connect all devices in vehicle, battle ship, airplane and other military equipment. S&T Slovenija has also developed a solution which solves all problems with mobile communication.
Peripherial device server
We provide a sensors and weapons integration server, offering stable API towards the battlefield management system (BMS) or other controlling applications, thus offloading the CPU in the BMS computer and simplifying the integration, hiding device-specific protocol implementations from the BMS developers.
Future soldier programme
We also supply a personal BMS C1 system for dismounted soldiers. The system features a CPU unit, GPS / inertial sensor and a heads-up display (HUD). It features short-range VHF or Wi-Fi communications modules to connect with other soldiers or higher-level BMS systems. The system is designed to integrate seamlessly with plate carriers without taking any space on the outside of the vest.
C2 battlefield management system
We can provide a highly modular BMS application offering full information support to the execution level of the C chain.
C2 / C4I call for fire
We have also developed an add-on module to the BMS system, enabling units equipped with laser range finders or remote weapon stations to efficiently mark targets and adjust fire for artillery or air strikes (JTAC pack).
COMMS 2 communication package
Our COMMS2 communication package is a communication equipment abstraction layer shielding BMS developers and users from radio specific implementations. It is best used with our own BMS, but can be used with any TCP/IP software. It support communication and routing of data through LAN, WAN, VHF CNR net, satellite, GPRS and other media.
C4 add-ons for Systematic SitaWare
We can also supply addons and enhancements for the Systematic BM and HQ software, ranging from the simple radar chart holding display and CBRN add-on modules to the full BM overlays complementing the SSE BM with additional information.
