S&T Experts Implement the SAP ERP Solution

Tedenski Žurnal is owned by the Austrian media group Styria. On the Slovenian market, the group is present with a free weekly newspaper Žurnal and a free daily, Žurnal24. Founded in 1896, Styria Medien AG is one of the leading Austrian media groups. The company owns or has investments in 8 daily and 15 weekly newspapers, 10 magazines, 14 regional magazines, 2 supplements, 8 web portals, 5 radio and 3 TV stations, and 6 book publishers. In addition to Tedenski Žurnal, Styria owns several other media, which include the daily newspaper Die Presse, published in Vienna; the Kleine Zeitung, published in Klagenfurt; Večernji list and 24 sata in Croatia; and Dnevnik in Slovenia.

1. The challenge


S&T experts in Slovenia and Croatia implemented the SAP ERP system for Tedenski Žurnal, publisher of the free newspaper Žurnal.

2. The project


An existing implementation in a related company was used as a blueprint for the SAP system implementation, enabling a rapid deployment with minimal expenses. The implementation was carried out by S&T experts from Ljubljana and Zagreb, and a team of IT experts from Večernji list, also owned by Styria, where they implemented the SAP system in 2004 with the help of S&T from Zagreb.
