Defence team department successfully introduced itself on NATO SEEC conference

Defence Department of S&T Slovenija has on NATO SEEC conference in Bled successfully introduced itself. Conference was meant for introducing solutions and good practice which helped Slovenia with entering NATO association.
Introducing the CIS incorporation procedure not only MO RS was involved but also companies that helped Slovenia with solutions on the way to the NATO alliance. S&T introduced itself on the conference with two lectures. First was based on computer supported system of command and control, the second on lower – tactical aspect of the first one.

Next to lectures the Defence Department prepared also practical review of operating battalion commander center. Practical presentation contained realistic simulation of TOC on 100 m² exhibition area. Within the tactical operative center individual sectors operated (S1 - S6) and played chosen scenario.

Computer support of headquarter processes of command and control was shown with the use of program equipment Tactical Messenger, SitaWare HQ and in S&T developed BMS (Battlefield Management System) and BFT (BlueForce Tracking) modules. All of the demonstrations were running on real Mil-Std. hardware equipment Itronix, Blazepoint, Login. Communication was running through radio devices Harris and Tadiran. All of the hardware equipment was for presentation need supplied by partnership company InfoTim.

Beside above mentioned applications Defence Department on the conference also presented research project KISB (Soldier's communication and Information System), which integrates in the soldiers equipment a computer module designed for command and control. This way S&T Slovenija showed continuity in software support to the PINK process from command level to the individual soldier.

Setting up a working environment by the Defence Department the conference became more dynamic, attractive and consequently made a large and positive response. Defence Department has made according response and shown interest a great presentation and potentially assured itself possibilities for further gathering of friendship and partnership relations on the southeastern Europe area.
