Archive Disk Systems

Content-Addressed Storage (CAS) is an archive disk system developed to allow saving, and quick and easy access to data in its final phase (data that will not be modified any further). These archive systems authenticate data based on content and save each object in an unmodified and authenticated manner, so that the end user can easily access and examine it.

S&T Slovenia has a wealth of experience in archive disk systems and is one of the leading companies in terms of technology. We have many years of experience in installing comprehensive solutions, which is why even the most demanding clients place their trust in us.
We successfully cooperate in all phases of system solution design – from planning to implementation and maintenance. Additionally, we follow and actively cooperate in the development of solutions and the elimination of errors together with the largest manufacturers of such hardware and software.

Advantages of the Archive Disk System:

  • Easy management where, in contrast with traditional disk systems (the SAN and NAS architectures), no LUN or RAID group management is required
  • Prevention of deletion; data cannot be deleted before its retention period expires
  • Data cannot be modified
  • Effective single instance replication, each object is saved only once (along with its backup) regardless of how frequently it is used; this ensures optimum utilisation of capacities
  • Expansion of capacities without having to reconfigure, simplifying installation

Archive disk systems are generally found in medium-sized and large information environments that prioritise saving data in its final phase.
