S&T Slovenia placed second in the latest IDC´s report “Slovenia IT Services 2009-2013”

In 2008, the IT services market in Slovenia totaled $370.07 million, representing a year-on-year growth of 19.6% in U.S. dollar terms. Measured in local currency, the market expanded by 11.8% compared to the previous year.
Hermes SoftLab was the leading IT services provider in Slovenia (by supply side) in
2008 based on revenue of $62.06 million and 13.6% share. S&T Slovenia placed
second with $41.70 million last year for 9.1% share of the market. SRC ranked third
with $38.53 million and 8.4% market share in 2008. Actual I.T. and Avtenta.si
rounded out the top five IT services providers in the country last year with 4.5% and
4.2% market shares, respectively.

The systems integration category accounted for the largest share (16.1%) of IT
services revenue last year, followed by custom application development (15.9%) and
software support and installation (12.6%). The combined outsourcing category
comprised 13.1% of the IT services market in Slovenia last year.

In 2008, combined finance (banking, insurance, and financial services) was the
largest vertical market in Slovenia, with $74.76 million in services-related spending for
20.2% market share. The combined government vertical placed second, with 17.7%
share based on services expenditure of $65.55 million. Combined manufacturing
entities undertook IT services investment of $53.59 million in 2008 to rank as the
third-largest vertical market, with 14.5% market share. The fourth-largest vertical was
telecommunications, which accounted for 12.8% ($47.51 million) of total IT services
spending in the country.
