SiBook improves the competitive advantage of Slovenian tourist agencies

Kompas implemented S&T Slovenija’s comprehensive information system

Ljubjana, January 24th 2007 - In the last quarter of 2006, S&T Slovenija successfully implemented its SiBook solution at the leading Slovenian tourist agency, Kompas, d.d. SiBook is a comprehensive and advanced information solution for the tourism industry and enables Kompas to manage all industry-specific operations. The company used the solution to re-engineer and streamline their business processes and reduce costs. SiBook also allowed Kompas to reduce the time-to-market for new product offerings. With SiBook S&T Slovenija offered a secure information solution to the global tourism industry that helps companies maintain their competitive edge in an increasingly demanding marketplace.
The merger of the largest Kompas’ subsidiaries and the quick pace of technological development pushed Kompas to start searching for a comprehensive information solution that would successfully support its operations. The company had successfully co-operated with S&T Slovenija in the past, so the decision to collaborate on the ERP system implementation was easy.

The solution was developed using the most advanced tools and the latest technologies, and operates in an open environment, internet and intranet roles. SiBook was developed using .NET technologies and is based on S&T’s proprietary ADF application development platform. It covers all aspects of the business process for tour operators, travel agents and DMC companies for inbound and outbound travel. It enables companies to achieve better insight into their business and improve their profitability as well as ensure the agility to respond to changes in the marketplace.

In line with the expectations of major changes in travel distribution, the solution supports all current and future sales channels. By offering highly sophisticated and scalable tools for travel agents, SiBooks enables robust support for traditional direct channels, such as street offices and call centers. The product also offers powerful solutions for online travel agencies. This module also ensures a user-friendly customer experience and enables real-time booking.
